Ameliorate—deteriorate 改善—恶化.
Antarctic—arctic 南极的—北极的
Apogee—perigee 最远点—最近点
Appreciate—depreciate 欣赏、增值—轻视、贬值
Arboreal—aquatic—terrestrial  栖于树木的—栖于水中的—栖于陆地的。
    例: Squirrels 松鼠 are arboreal animals. 
Brackish—sweetish 含盐味的, 令人不愉快的—含糖的, —令人愉快的
Cavity—cavern—cave 小洞（如牙齿上的）—大洞 (洞窟, 洞穴)—中洞（普通洞）
Concave—convex 凹面的—凸面的
Concord—discord 和谐—不和
Creature—creator 所造之物, 动物—造物主, 创造者
Crude—rude 粗糙的东西—粗鲁的人。
    例: Crude oil is refined by heating it in a closed still.
Demote—promote 降级—提拔, 促进. 
Destruct—construct破坏—建设
Detect—protect 查出—保护
Diffident—confident 羞怯的—自信的
Discourage—encourage 使泄气—鼓励
Dissuade—persuade 劝阻—劝做
Diurnal—nocturnal 白天的—夜晚的
diverge—converge分散—集中. 
    例: Their path diverged at the fork in the way. 
Don—off 穿上—脱下. 注意其中的on, off.

    例: He couldn’t miss the implicit warning in her offer.
