第三节 拟声词

拟声是任何语言词汇的重要来源, 汉语、英语都有许多惊人相似的词, 这并非巧
合, 而是因为同为拟声词. 
bomb 爆炸声=炸弹
bump 碰撞声=碰，碰见，肿块。I bumped into an old friend.
chicken 唧唧声=小“鸡”
chitchat “叽喳”谈话声=闲谈
chop 劈柴声=劈, 砍
cock 咯咯声=公鸡
coo 鸽子的叫声
cuckoo 布谷鸟的叫声=布谷鸟
dump “咚”=砰然倒下let fall with a bump. 
fuss 不规则步声=大惊小怪agitation about nothing. 反:  calm, composure. 
gong 铜锣的咣咣声=铜锣
horn “号”=号角. 
pound“怦”=猛砸. 
rumble 机器隆隆声
tweet 啾啾声
yell “吆”=呼喊loud, sharp cry. 例: yell out an order.
zip 拉练声=拉练, 合上. zip off = shut up

CL=磕碰声
clash 冲突, 碰撞声
click 卡塔声, 发卡塔声
clip 剪刀声=剪
clock 拟声=钟
clap 拍手声=鼓掌, 击

CR=破裂声
crack 裂缝, 破裂声
crash 撞毁声=撞毁. 例: an air crash. The bus crashed into a tree.
creek 小河(=山间裂缝)
crush “垮”=拥挤, 挤压press, crowd. 例: crush the box.
